My name is Kaleigh Beason and I am 22 years old. I am a recent graduate from Appalachian State University with a degree in nutrition and dietetics. App State is where I met the love of my life, Ben Beason, and now we live in Charlotte, NC. I love to cook and try healthy recipes and I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. One of my greatest passions is to encourage people to live a healthy life and in the way that God intended.
“The deepest longing of the human heart and the deepest meaning of heaven and earth are summed up in this: the glory of God. The universe was made to show it, and we were made to see it and savor it.” -John Piper
Multiple times in scripture we see the importance of living with an eternal perspective. There is more to life than what we see and experience on earth. The ability to see past this worldly vision is a work of the Holy Spirit. We must have a willingness to be changed and transformed by God and wholeheartedly devote ourselves to seek after Him.
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Determination and discipline are important factors for both physical and spiritual health. Living a healthy life is more than just eating right and getting exercise. Spiritual health is essential for overall health. The most important decision that one can make is whether or not to follow Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to save us from death and the sin that so easily entangles us. This blog is a simple way to share some experiences that the Lord is bringing me through to strengthen my walk with Him and to reveal more of who He is. I pray that this resource will encourage each of you to see a glimpse of the goodness of God and His power to transform those willing to give their lives to glorify His name.
“For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8
